Chesham Guest House & Padel Court
Seamlessly Integrating Nature and Design: A Contemporary New Build
Chesham Guest House & Padel Court is a newly built development completed between May 2024 and December 2024. The project features two bedrooms, a spacious lounge with a kitchenette, and a dedicated golf simulator room. Additionally, a paddle court was constructed as part of the development.
The project involved complex construction techniques, including a challenging steel structure that supports a significant portion of the building with a cantilever system. The golf simulator building, partially embedded below ground level, required precise engineering solutions.
Extensive glazing elements were incorporated to integrate the house with its natural surroundings. The interiors feature full oak flooring and ceilings, complemented by bespoke joinery throughout. A 2.4-meter aluminium entrance door serves as a key design element.
A glass link connects the main building to the golf simulator space, presenting logistical and installation challenges that were successfully managed. The property also includes wooden staircases with integrated LED lighting, a centralized ventilation system, an air source heat pump, and full underfloor heating for enhanced comfort.
Despite the logistical challenges, the project was delivered on time and to a high standard, demonstrating a successful collaboration among all involved.
